The Sex and The City Movie sequels were hugely different from the television show in many ways: the characters were exaggerated, the dialogue was dramatic and, most importantly, the set decor had changed and evolved. We also get a look at the actual apartment space without furniture or decoration — giving us the opportunity to really see the shape of the place. The wall colour changes from insipid cream to bright blue with bold white skirting boards and mouldings. The shelving and radiator in her bedroom are removed and swapped with a wall of IKEA-looking salon-style frames and a pewter side table. The simple wood and metal window desk and the mid-century wood sideboard lined with black and white photographs are both replaced with slick plastic furnishings — a white shiny desk and large plastic-coated media centre with HD television inset within the centre of the unit.
